SPANISH TEAM

Follow up Activity

The LAMBIDA project has been an invaluable opportunity for our Spanish group as we have gained important skills and competencies through the use of non-formal education methodology and digital social inclusion. Our experience was further enriched by enjoying the local culture, nature, and food of Cyprus during our visit.

Recently, we conducted a follow-up activity in the village of Sotragero, Spain, to reflect on the problem of depopulated towns. In Spain, many towns are without inhabitants, making life very difficult for those who remain in these empty towns. To make this activity more enjoyable, first, we made a short energizer. Afterwards, we divided participants into four groups, each of which had to represent a theatre that showcased several of the problems that inhabitants of depopulated towns suffer.

The activity was a success, and the participants felt very committed to the topic. Through the theatrical representation, they were able to reflect on the problems that inhabitants of depopulated towns face and the possible solutions to improve their situation. Furthermore, we discussed the importance of social inclusion and teamwork to tackle these problems.

Overall, we are delighted to have participated in this project and to have had the opportunity to acquire new skills and competencies and put them into practice in such an important follow-up activity. We hope to continue participating in future activities of the project and working towards social inclusion and sustainable development in our communities.

The LAMBIDA project has given us a unique opportunity to learn and grow as a group. The non-formal education methodology has enabled us to gain skills and competencies that are not typically found in traditional education settings. The digital social inclusion component has also been a critical aspect of the project, allowing us to use technology to reach out to and engage with people who may otherwise be excluded.

Our experience in Cyprus was unforgettable. We were able to immerse ourselves in the local culture and learn about the history, customs, and traditions of the island. We also had the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the island, including the stunning beaches and mountainous landscapes. The local cuisine was also a highlight of our trip, with delicious food that reflected the unique blend of cultures on the island.

The follow-up activity in Sotragero was an excellent way to build on our experiences in Cyprus and continue our work towards social inclusion and sustainable development. We were able to use the skills and competencies we gained in Cyprus to develop creative solutions to the problems faced by inhabitants of depopulated towns. Through the theatrical representations, we were able to engage with the issues in a meaningful way and generate new ideas for improving the situation.

In conclusion, the LAMBIDA project has been a transformative experience for our group, and we are grateful for the opportunity to participate. We look forward to continuing our work towards social inclusion and sustainable development and to further developing the skills and competencies that we have gained through this project.

PARTICIPANTS' IMPRESSIONS FROM THE PROJECT:

Mónica: This encounter was enriching for me due to the different nationalities and the long distance from my home country. Cyprus is already one of the farthest countries I've ever been to, and it was a challenge for me to take a long plane and let myself enjoy the moment. I have learnt a lot about non-formal education, I have opened my mind to listening to other countries that I don't get to talk to easily and I realize we are not so different. I think that for my professional life, it will be a good experience due to the topics, which were all very interesting, and I cannot wait to see the second part of the project in Georgia, which I think will be different and also very captivating to adventure.

Francisco Medel Molinero: The digital entrepreneurship course for young people is excellent. I loved the way the tools and knowledge necessary to develop entrepreneurial skills were presented. Additionally, it's admirable that the course also addressed including people with physical or psychological disabilities in the workforce, promoting equal opportunities for all. I would definitely recommend this course to any young person who wants to start a business and to those who want to promote inclusion in the workforce.

Clara García Bartolomé: Attending the digital entrepreneurship course for young people was a game-changer for me. Not only did I learn valuable skills and techniques to start my own business, but I also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of inclusivity in the workforce. It was inspiring to see how the course actively promoted diversity and encouraged us to think beyond our preconceived notions. Overall, I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to become an entrepreneur and make a positive impact in their community.

Sometimes I think that every young European should enjoy at least once in a lifetime a cultural exchange like the one we experienced in Pissouri. Spending a week with 30 young people of 8 different nationalities is something you don't do every day and you should do it at least once in your life. Being able to learn, share, feel and live on a specific topic makes us grow as humans, professionals and citizens in Europe we want to build. On this occasion, we had the opportunity to learn during the training on digital entrepreneurship, but above all focused on the inclusiveness of minorities. This a vital aspect in our modern societies and that we cannot forget, especially now when society is changing by leaps and bounds. We cannot leave anyone behind.

For me, this project was one of the best experiences of my life, where I surrounded myself with very diverse people and learnt a lot about myself and other cultures, besides also getting knowledge which will be very useful for my professional trajectory in the future.

I think everyone should do an Erasmus+ at least once in their lives because it opens your mind and changes your perspective about the World, and you lose the fear of discovering the unknown. I would have never thought I would go to Georgia and Cyprus and meet such wonderful people. I wish you all the best and I hope I will see you in future training programs.
