FIRST DAY

WELCOME BACK TO LAMBIDA/ PARTICIPANTS' DEBUT

During the morning sessions, we held an activity about creating our own envelopes. In this activity, participants were walking in the room with a piece of paper with their names and a circle (face). As they were walking with their papers each time and when the trainer said "stop", it was simultaneously suggested to draw a specific feature of the face of the participant whose name was on the paper (e.g., eyebrows, eyes, lips). We continued until we had drawn the whole face. In this way, we had a portrait of each participant which had been drawn by various other participants. Afterwards, we put them up on the wall with an envelope underneath which was used to place some "presents'' and nice words for each person. Within the framework of this activity, we played secret friend throughout the whole week. In fact, each participant had a secret friend from which they were receiving small presents the whole week! Within the same framework, we had a small introduction to the second part of the project of the whole week explaining what follows. We also set some general guidelines to follow throughout the duration of the project.

During the afternoon sessions, participants had the opportunity to explore our hosting village; Bakuriani. They had to complete some tasks by walking all over the village. See the implementation of this activity here: https://business-in-digital-age-7.cms.webnode.page/tasks-in-bakuriani/

SECOND DAY

ENTRECOMP/ MOSAIC OF MODERN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

On the second day of the PDA, the morning sessions focused on the ENTRECOMP concept, which acquainted participants with the 15 competencies of an entrepreneurial mindset. We hold a small discussion and presentation around the ENTRECOMP concept. We then split participants into 8 groups and gave each group an accomplished individual who they had to research and find which of the 15 competencies of an entrepreneurial mindset they have. Each group did a small introduction to the informational background of the successful person. Subsequently, we proceeded with each group presenting the competencies a successful person has. We then proceeded with a personal reflection session that prompted participants to introspect and identify their own competencies within the ENTRECOMP framework.

In the afternoon, a mini cloud word brainstorming exercise took place, generating topics related to entrepreneurial stereotypes. Each group chose a stereotype. They received a bunch of magazines and they had to represent the chosen stereotype either through pictures from the magazines or through their own imagination by drawing. They only had to represent the stereotype in half of the flipchart. They then had to continue by representing the reality of it in the rest of the flipchart.

THIRD DAY

PROJECT IDEA DEVELOPMENT

The third day of the program commenced with an introduction to the Golden Circle concept, followed by tasks designed to help participants define their business ideas. In particular, participants had to work on the "Why," "How," and "What" of their business. In the second session, a World Cafe format was employed, allowing participants to provide feedback on established business ideas as they rotated through different stations. In fact, they had some time to create a draft poster and establish their station around the space. One person has to stay fixed in their station and the other team members to rotate around the stations every 7 minutes. The fixed person was explaining to others their business idea and was gathering feedback.

During the afternoon sessions, participants were introduced to Design Thinking, Brand Identity, and Search Engine Optimization. They completed two worksheets encompassing tasks such as logo creation, development of a colour palette, determination of a tone of voice, and creation of an ad reel.

FOURTH DAY

EXCURSION DAY

On the fourth day, we had our excursion day in which we visited Vartzia Caves, the Rabatti Castle and the Borjomi Park.

Vartzia Caves:

The Vartzia Caves stand as a remarkable testament to the hidden wonders that lie beneath the surface of the earth. Located in the southwestern region of Georgia, the Vartzia Caves have long captivated explorers and adventure-seekers with their mysterious allure.

They are a mesmerizing network of limestone caverns, stalactites, and stalagmites that seem like something straight out of a fantasy novel. The caves are believed to have formed through a combination of geological processes involving water and limestone dissolution, resulting in an otherworldly subterranean landscape that has been dubbed the "underground wonderland" by locals and visitors alike.

Rabatti Castle

Dating back to the 9th century, Rabatti Castle has witnessed the ebb and flow of countless historical events, reflecting the diverse influences that shaped Georgia's past. Originally constructed as a defensive fortification to safeguard strategic trade routes and protect the region's inhabitants from invaders, the castle has undergone numerous expansions and renovations throughout the centuries, each adding to its grandeur and complexity.

One of the most striking features of Rabatti Castle is its unique architectural blend of different styles. As a result of the various rulers and civilizations that have occupied the region over the years, the castle showcases elements of medieval Georgian, Ottoman, and Persian architectural influences. The intricate stonework, fortified walls, watchtowers, and battlements all add to its awe-inspiring appearance.

Stepping inside the castle grounds is like stepping back in time. Visitors are transported to an era of knights, kings, and nobles, as they explore the labyrinthine passageways, hidden chambers, and well-preserved rooms within the castle's walls. The main tower, known as the "Tamaris Darbazi," pays homage to Queen Tamar, one of Georgia's most revered monarchs, who played a significant role in the castle's history.

Borjomi Central Park

Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Georgia's Borjomi region, Borjomi Central Park is a delightful escape that offers visitors a harmonious blend of natural beauty, recreational activities, and soothing mineral springs. Situated in the heart of the quaint town of Borjomi, this park is a beloved destination for locals and tourists alike, providing a refreshing retreat from the bustle of everyday life.

The park's foundation dates back to the 1850s when it was established as a royal estate, and it has since evolved into a serene sanctuary for relaxation and enjoyment.

The centrepiece of the park is the mesmerizing Borjomi Mineral Spring, renowned for its natural, healing waters. Believed to have therapeutic properties, the mineral spring entices visitors to partake in sipping the refreshing, slightly carbonated water, a tradition that has been practised for centuries. The mineral-rich springs are said to offer numerous health benefits and contribute to the park's reputation as a wellness destination.
